Support for implementation of bullying prevention programs:

Consultation is now available for schools implementing the bullying prevention strategies outlined in my books Schools Where Everyone Belongs and  Empowering Bystanders

As I have trained educators throughout the United States , I have had many requests for ongoing consultation.  Consultation offers us the opportunity to work together over time to guide your bullying prevention effort.

 Expectations for the school:

·      Staff will read and discuss both Schools Where Everyone Belongs and Empowering Bystanders in regularly-scheduled book study meetings.

·      Staff will view the video “What works in bullying prevention” and the companion video for Empowering Bystanders. I hope to be able to provide a half-day staff workshop on video as well, which can be viewed in segments.

·      A bullying prevention team, including the principal, will meet monthly to guide implementation and will communicate with Stan Davis via email at least monthly.

·       Rubrics, forms, and other materials to be distributed to the community about the program will be reviewed with Stan Davis via email and/or phone consultation before being distributed.

 Services included in consultation:

·   Five 1-hour phone consultations:

1.      at the beginning of our work together

2.      after a staff survey about staff-student connections and consistency of discipline interventions is completed. (Note: I recommend the Olweus Bully-Victim Questionnaire, now available from www.hazelden.org in scannable format, as an annual student survey. )

3.      after Stan reviews drafts of your discipline rubric and discipline forms via email

4.      a training consultation for staff supervising the reflection process,  after Stan reviews at least six de-identified sample reflection forms via email

5.      and at the end of a year working together

·   Stan will set up, graph data from, and interpret an online anonymous staff survey twice in the year

·   Email consultation (unlimited, as desired) focusing on:

1.      Questions staff have during and after book studies

2.      mentoring and connection strategies

3.      discipline system development

4.      reflection

5.      troubleshooting and related questions

Fee for one year’s consultation: $800 for one school, including two training videos. The cost of books and of the Olweus Bully-Victim Questionnaire is not included.
